NOTICE OF SECOND PUBLIC HEARING
SECOND PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD ON FEBRUARY 5, 2012 AT 400 SOUTH HOVEY ST., CHICO, TX. 76431 AT CITY HALL.
The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Chico, Texas proposes to institute annexation proceedings to enlarge and
extend the boundary limits of said city to include the following described territory, to wit:
Property (including any improvements and mineral interests): SURFACE ESTATE ONLY: to all that certain lot, tract or parcel of land in
the WILLIAM HERSEE SURVEY, ABSTRACT NUMBER 411, W. T. MERRIMAN SURVEY, ABSTRACT NUMBER 1429, and the GEORGE
W. CASH SURVEY, ABSTRACT NUMBER 1424, Wise County, Texas, and being a part that certain called 54.37 acre tract of land
described in the deed recorded in Volume 298, Page 350, of the Deed Records Wise County, Texas the subject tract being more
particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1/2 – inch capped iron rod (stamped Holaway RPLS TX 5479) set for corner, same being in the West line of said 54.37
acre tract of land, same being in the East right-of-way line C.R.I. & G. Railroad from which a 1/2 – inch iron rod found bears South 12
Degrees 23 Minutes 21 Seconds West a distance of 554.95 feet;
THENCE East a distance of 1080.50 feet to a 1/2 – inch capped iron rod (stamped Holaway RPLS TX 5479) set for corner, in the West
right-of-way line of Texas Business Highway Number 101, and the East line of said 54.37 acre tract of land;
THENCE South 02 Degrees 07 Minutes 07 Seconds West with said the Northerly East line of said 54.37 acre tract of land and said
West right-of-way line along or near a fence a distance of 716.46 feet to a 1/2 – inch capped iron rod (stamped Holaway RPLS TX 5479)
set for corner;
THENCE South 01 Degrees 32 Minutes 57 Seconds West with the Southerly East line of said 54.37 acre tract of land and said West
right-of-way line along or near a fence a distance of 69.57 feet to a 1/2- inch capped iron rod (stamped Holaway RPLS TX 5479) set at
corner ;
THENCE West a distance of 879.58 feet to a 1/2 – inch capped rod (stamped Holaway TXRPLS 5479) set for corner in the West line of
said 54.37 acre tract of land and said East right-of-way line;
THENCE North 12 Degrees 23 Minutes 21 Seconds West with said West line of 54.37 acre tract of land and said East right-of-way line
along or near fence a distance of 804.24 feet to the
POINT OF BEGINNING and enclosing 17.667 acres of land more or less.
